Strategy

The only way to make use of the Angry Chicken enrage ability is to buff it`s health and make sure that it doesn`t die in one attack. This is unreliable and is the reason that Angry Chicken is sometimes laughed upon as a card. Some cards that can make Angry Chicken useful are Power word: Shield Young Priestess Defender of Argus Temple Enforcer and could combo well with the Void Terror after buffing the Angry Chicken.

Trivia

  • Angry Chicken was originally simply a 1/1 with no special ability, intended to be "kind of a joke", and "something for everyone to latch on to as "the worst card"". The Enrage was suggested by Quality Assurance "homie" Jeff Manners.
  • The Enrage effect might be a reference to the Legend of Zelda franchise, where Cucco are completely harmless until you beat them several times, which then causes them to become invulnerable and attack you relentlessly until you leave the area or die.
